  • Great video; what variety of tomatoes did you use?

  • Roma tend to work best in this dish, because they hold up well as small dice. You can use any kind - these days I find it hard to get tomatoes that taste like tomatoes so I tend to use any kind that smelled right and looked right at the market - soon, my own tomatoes will be arriving and I can't wait!

  • what would be your choice for someone who can't eat onions or peppers?? Every time I see these recipes they look good but nearly always involve onions, mushrooms or peppers. 3 foods which I am highly allergic too.

  • I don't know off hand but will think about it, are you also allergic to shallots? If not you could substitute them. Maybe jicama in place of the onions and leave the peppers out.

  • Okay Girlfriend...

The double "LL" is pronounced as a "Y." Hence gallo is pronounced "gayo." Great recepie. A great alternative to the bell pepper is poblano pepper or even the pasilla chile. Try it...I think you'll find it's a great alternative to the jalepeno.

  • Check our pico de gallo recipe at youtube/dothemexican.

    Greetings!!!!

  • i love your kitchen and all your tools are so fancy!!

  • you dont say gallo it is pronounced gayo!

    lol haha

  • Sorry about late reply. But I don't know if I am able to eat leaks since they are in the same family. I do know even though garlic is a close relative of onions I can still eat it.

  • thank you so much! I'm usually terrible at cooking but seeing it done instead of just reading it out of a recipe really helps! Also my boyfriends Italian and we're visiting his mum in sept so i really don't want to show myself up :)

  • Thats ok - its a basic Mexican condiment - usually containing tomato, onion and cilantro- but the ingredients vary. It can be used as a dip or served as a sauce with grilled fish, meats, poultry etc. Its a fun dish and very versatile

  • Delicious looking as usual Maria!

  • damn!! can u be my mommy?.. LOL! lucky family!

  • i did watching the vid and i still dont know obviously what is it a dip, dressing a seasoning... hello obviously if i commented i watched ittttttttttt...
