  • Aha! Found it! Interesting. How about cardio, such as running or jogging?

  • like can you run on the sidewalk? sure - the sidewalks are endless here. just be warned that you will be stared at the entire time. or at least i do.

  • I'm curious about your gym activity. You say you workout 5 times per week in these gyms. What's the purpose? Just for health, or do you play some sort of sport and so need the strength, speed, etc.? You mentioned about martial arts, does it have to do with that?

I've also heard Japanese food can be healthier than the Western food. Do you agree, and do you eat more Japanese food than Western?

  • i box. i want to do mma but i dont have the time and i probably have the worst kick known to all mankind.

japanese food is definitely waay healthier. almost no additives and extremely low cals on average. i.e. the average american eats about 4000 cals a day where as the average japanese person eats 2100.

  • So the workouts are to train for the boxing? Hmm.

Thanks for confirming what I thought about the food. Do you like it more than Western food?

  • hmm i dont think i can say i like it better. nor can i say i like western food more.

i have favorites from both. i will say japan in general is only good for japanese food. they usually fail miserably when attempting non-native dishes.

  • It just occurred to me. You won't ever be able to go to a public bath or a hot spring? Is that even acceptable for a gaijin to do?

  • Are the gyms co-ed?

  • I did Aikido here in Canada for about 7 years and they expected us to come even when we were hurt and stay on the side and watch...(big turn off for a lot of people here)

I guessing Martial Art class in Japan aren't a good place to socialize to ? (at least not during the class, like people do here)

Do Martial Art class in general cost a lot in Japan ?

  • Do they have Wing Tsun in Japan...I know it sounds contradictory.

  • will hot springs care if you use the springs at night if they are a hotel with hot springs?

  • thats so cool that japan likes ALF too :D

  • I pay for NHK, I am willing to, but strange thing is NHK collect guy is still coming to my house once in a while... suspect some of them who come to door might be fake ones?? So dont pay at the door right away! know you wont tho :P Anyway, I love NHK channels alot!! such as GArdening show in sunday mornings, Cooking class show, Language class show(now I watch the Spanish and Russian ones), and Bilingual news at night and Puppet show for kids hehe and and... am so in love with NHK

  • So basically if you have a tattoo you can't get in the hot springs? That's fucking dumb.
