Mall of the Emirates dispels economic gloom with DSF bonanza(1)

Mall of the Emirates, Dubais popular retail and leisure destination, is aiming to banish any thoughts of financial hardship during this months Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). A mega jackpot prize of one million Dirhams is up for grabs for one lucky customer who visits the mall between January 15th to February 15th, a welcome bonanza during the current economic downturn.
Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Vice President of the Mall of the Emirates, believes that the generous prize on offer during the month-long festival will entice shoppers in their droves. With residents and tourists experiencing the impact of the global crisis, DSF is the best time to shop and take advantage of fabulous deals and magnificent bargains, he said. For the same budget, customers can get so much more during the festival - the majority of our stores will have sales over this period and shoppers will be able to take advantage of price cuts on everything, including electronics, fashion and furnishings.
To enter this mega DSF draw, all visitors need to do is shop for a minimum of AED 350 at any of the malls over 466 retail outlets.
DSF 2009 will be the Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Groups 13th year of continuous partnership as a key sponsor for DSF. Mall of the Emirates previous participation with the world-renowned shopping festival has won plaudits from the global retail industry, with the destination this year winning the International Council for Shopping Centres silver trophy in the Sales Promotion and Events category, for its innovative Dubai Shopping Festivals Biggest Bargain campaign.
