  • Grande Matteo =)

  • @Drefi I was trained by Matteo in Macau - he's such a sweetie! :D

  • All I know is: If it wasn't for Bodyjam I'd be less at the gym and more at KFC...Bodyjam helped me get that confidence/motivation and FUN that I seriously needed. Les Mills ROCKS!

    New Lynn, Auckland...New Zealand!!

  • Again you think you understand but you obviously don't. NLP being used by instructors and subliminals being used in the music are 2 different facets of the same method of influence.

The booklets that instructors receive with each release for Les Mills programs are full scripts, no they don't say "say this so you can control their mind a make them jump around" but if you've ever read one of these booklets then you would understand how controlled each experience in a Les Mills class is.

  • Funny, what you think is meaningless to me. People like you love to give their uninformed opinions on things, making claims and drawing conclusions based on their own misunderstanding of the topic and then projecting that stupidity onto others. What I said is the fitness industry in this case Les Mills uses NLP in it's instructing and class design. NLP is used to change the way you see yourself and to get you to feel connected to the program. Embeds in the music have a more general effect.

  • And i just wanna let you know that when i listen to the music outside my classes, or even on the radio or tv where everyone can hear, i dont feel like "jumping around" because beyonce is telling me to. and it's definitely not the coaching, unless when you were an instructor, part of the booklet said "say this so you can control their mind a make them jump around"

  • Well as an International Trainer for Les Mills, Mr. I-Happen-To-Have-Taught-Les-Mills-classes, I still think you're a dumb ass. So what you're saying is, Beyonce, Shakira and all sorts of songs and genres that are used in classes have subliminal messages that make you love the program, that it's not because you like to dance, or MMA, or to lift weights, it's because the music, as you said, changes the participant's mental and emotional behavior.

  • NLP is used throughout the industry quite openly. The idea is to use it to get past the blocks people have towards group fitness and to build in a love for the program that they are doing. It is marketing and all good sales people know and use NLP. People who think otherwise have likely not thought much about it at all and likely for certain have no industry experience.

  • But go ahead and laugh like a monkey and jump around because people are telling you to, now that's funny.
