acutally i got this guitar 2 days ago and i find that they sound better with alot of distortion on :S

personal preferance though, for the clean channel i prefer my fender tele

Squiers can be really underrated guitars too.

@amozartii Neck is a bit thin... which wouldn't be so bad if the frets weren't so small. I think the frets are only mediums, I'm long since gotten used to it though.

Ok, I can dig on that man..I agree. For what they are the are not bad at all...little funky on the neck. Since you have done the conversions, what is your opinion on the neck or frets..?

@amozartii Ok cool... I agree with what you said here. You're right, a $600 strat isn't bad... its just not what I would be satisfied with if I were to really get exactly what I want. The only reason I'm dropping money into this Squier is because I want to learn how to work on guitars... setups, electronics, hardware work, woodwork. Theres no way I'm gonna risk a 62 Reissue or a $600 standard strat, thats why I bought the $100 Squier =).

I'm not trying to start a problem, but I do have an opinion. A $600 Strat is not bad at all, and hey I'll meet you halfway..I have a Squire Strat...and it like the damn thing....but I sure as helll wont sink a ton of cash into it.. Do you get my meaning lad..? To tell you the truth is sounds great through my Fender Vintage Chamo amp...John Mayer doesn't shit on this set up....and I can out play him anyday!

@amozartii You can buy an ENTRY level Fender strat for $500 or $600... If I'm gonna spend the money and get something that's what I want out of the box... its gonna be a 62 Reissue or a John Mayer sig... those are $1100+. Saying that Squires are not well made and are a waste of cash is at best your opinion and at worse just plain false. I've played $150 Squiers that sound, play, and feel better than the $600 Fender on the wall next to it. Again, keep your negative opinions to yourself please.

First off there is no bashing going on, second...what are you talking about? You can buy a nice one for around $500 or $600...fresh out of the box & needs nothing. These are not claims, these are facts. If you can't handle some truth then seek some therapy , better yet....block me. This way you'll feel better knowing that you controlled someone.

Sure... I'm gonna go spend $900+ on a guitar and then take an electric drill to it. That makes A LOT of sense. And another thing... I will not tolerate wild, fantastic claims without proof. I like that people have opinions, but if your opinion is negative or bashing of a company or an individual... keep it to yourself, or your comment will get removed and you will be blocked. The fact of the matter is that Squier has been making very nice, respectable guitars for a few years now.

Exactly! So why then pour all your hard cash into the guitar when you could step and buy a nice well made USA Strat..? Does not make sense, the Squires are fun to play but not well made....cheap beginners guitars..waste of cash!
