@enfield1576 the 7.62-51 and 7.62-54r are IDENTICAL ballisticaly speeking.....both throw equal bullet weights withen 50 fps of each other with a SLIGHT nod going in favor of the 7,62-54r,and that's ONLY out of the m91/30 LONG RIFLE......you don't know much dude...think before you type stupid shit,because your only mis-informing the ignorant and pissing of those that know,like ME.

sounds like whatever rifle your are using to get that idea has a oversized bore, and undersized bullets.

Whoever thinks a 7.62x54R round won't obliterate an organ or blow off a limb is wrong. The rounds are very unstable after penetration and tumble, they don't necessarily come out the backside like a 223 or typical AR round. Even the entry can be very rough.
