i always thought i had the senses of a owl, surely because i can just look in a random direction and BOOM theres a bird flying over that area, i can hoot like an owl and keep my eyes open for two minutes without blinking! ( i think, with the eye part, i developed a way of twitching my eyes and wetting them)

No, I wasn't in a hide, I was just walking through the fields and it came over. I was against a backdrop of some bushes, and stood still, so it didn't see me.
