Other countries live better than the U.S. Yes they pay more in taxes but there is less to pay there also. Its embarasing to be in the U.S. and see the way the government treats the people. You can go to Canada right now and get an injury and you will be seen by the doctor at no cost. This might not work in the U.S. though because compared to the other countries, the U.S. is very selfish.

You do a great speech. I wouldn't mind a personal contact. I am a folk musician/singer/songwriter and activist for affordable healthcare.

@DrJulienArbor Or going pee in our public toilets, or hunting and walking in our public parks! Or, get this, driving on our roads! I honestly don't think the people who scream socialism understand what it is.
-
you mean like smoking more than even americans do?
-
donst that just mean they live better lifestyles?
-
You got it! It's NOT rocket science... and I keep wondering how the hell the people screaming about socialism are getting their mail or educating their kids!
Between the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry... they're robbing this country blind and ensuring the downfall of our future generations! All the money in the world doesn't mean a damn thing if you haven't got your health. If they couldn't keep Ted Kennedy alive, they sure don't have anything to offer the average person!

That is what is what insurance companies do! Insurance companies ration haelthcare. That's how they make their money, by denying care! The truth is we are the first in the world for healthcare costs, are we are ranked number 37 for quality of care. Read your statistics.

Yes. This is exactly what has happened in the UK, Canada, France, and every other first world nation that has socialized medicine.
Yup, it's mass chaos over there.
Don't let their higher quality of care and lower costs fool you. Don't let the high satisfaction rate fool you. It's a total failure somehow. Just keep saying it. That helps make it more true.
We pay twice as much as France does for healthcare, and they're healthier than we are and they live longer than we do.
Just a reminder.

Every other country has Universal Health Care there not all Single Payer systems. With a Government only Health Care program. Which is what Thom Hartman is arguing for. They all have they're own systems.
