@opsryushi you're quite the critic. Wonder how good any group would do sight reading their show. Unfortunately we don't get the music until the day of homecoming.  Granted we were better in the 80s and early 90s when we would sometimes field up to 150 members, play a halftime show by ourselves (and we sounded as good or better than the undergrad band because we played music we knew) and actually got to play in the stands without fear of the team getting a penalty.

In the 80s and early 90s we used to do a whole show by ourselves. As RU went "big time" halftime was taken up by self congratulatory awards and presentations and there was little time left for the band. Its hard to do much of anything when you get the music the day of homecoming and run through it once or twice.

@jetser2 Sorry but those bands r the most over rated bands, all they do is blast as loud as they can and entertain, they r not very musical or good at marching. Always out of tune

Awful band, most RU students dont appreciate them, they suck, come out Michigan state and c a real band.

It's actually quite the other way around. Alumni band shows are tough, usually because the alumni totally suck, lol. But yeah... college marching band is incredible compared to high school.
