I weakened and brought garage mom and her five kittens, all of whom suffered from diarrhea, to live in my spare bedroom for now. I am making friends with feral mom by feeding her the leftover KMR (kitten milk replacer). The kittens' health is improving. I need name suggestions for these five kittens! The original caretakers of the cats, including garage mom, will take them all back when the kittens are older and fixed, unless I can find these kittens homes.

  • Please tell me you found homes for all of them!

  • @XxZeroKiryux Yup, except for the mother, Jade, who is still here.

  • god bless you sir

  • @damnz13 I'm a girl, but thank you.

  • I just took in a 9 month old kitten who brought coccidia into my home, now my 2 year old bengal has it and its been a struggle to get him to drink his medication (Albon). I hope they both get better soon and that this bug goes far far away.

I commend you for taking in these strays... it makes me smile knowing there are people like you in this world. ...cheers! hope they are all better now.

  • @secretMachine Albon treatment should continue for a months' time. Three weeks on, one week off, then another week. Supplement treatment by adding probiotics to the food, to help them retain good bacteria. Isolate any cat with coccidia as it is carried through the litterbox on their paws, and then they groom and lick each other. Routinely soak the litterbox and scoop in clorox or ammonia.

  • @MrAsianto She already named them.

  • You should name one Tubby

  • @Catweedhigh thank you for the info. My vet gave us a weeks worth of albon but I have been giving them plain yogurt too, even if only the kitten eats it, my bengal's a bit picky and fussy about everything, he's spoiled rotten. lol
