Winner of 'Your Champion 2009' Carol Highton for her campaign against Loan Sharks

This short video features Carol Highton who won the 'Champion of Champions' Award at a glittering award ceremony held on 6th November 2009 by Scottish Power and Trinity Mirror Cheshire.

Carol has campaigned against illegal money lenders since her son Brian killed himself in 2005. Carol believes the pressure and intimidation her son faced from the loan shark was the reason he took his own life. Carol has now established The Brian Shields Trust in the Halton / Runcorn area to advise people against Loan Sharks and help them manage debt problems.

The Brian Shields Trust will be officially launched in January 2010.
