  • The socks were injinji mini crew, the calf compression is zensah. I think it really helped reduce fatigue, no cramp or tightness in calves. We all had a fresh pair to wear to bed and the next day to aid recovery. We were running again 36 hrs after the end of the race.

  • The hydration packs were salmon xwing (I love the way they sit, and no waistbelt means less restriction and bounce) and inov-8 race pro.

  • What kind of shorts were those main dudes wearing?

  • @mysticalwoodsman

We wore x-bionic shorts and tops. Swiss designed, Italian made. They are primarily thermo-regulating. Keeping your muscles/body at optimal temperature by using trapped moisture (sweat) to either cool or keep warm depending on what is needed. Not cheap, but it works.

We ran all day feeling cool, and at night as temp dropped we were the only ones (I saw) who finished still in just shorts and top, everyone else was in thermals or wind jackets. Still wearing it every time I run.

  • awesome. love from sierra leone

  • @o10ciano

glad you like it bro, next year we will pay the entry for anyone who is interested to come and run it in FiveFingers. Bring it on!

  • I have one Zensah calf compression sleeve, wish I had two, they do rock! Love my VFF too, can't wait to build up to the kind of mileage I can do in shoes. Being patient though. Orchard growing, not fast food, as barefoot Ted would say.

  • It looks like there's steam coming off of him at the end!

  • Man that looks so awesome I wish I'd been there.

... we have so few races here in Sweden. Shame.

  • @bevis46 yup I documented myself about it, and discovered the best part of the foot to hit the ground with is the external angle of the forefoot, right before the fingers start... still, and with all my simpathy, these people look "funny" when they run :D

  • @ephestioneHQ how they are running though is actually better for your body. running on your forefoot is better than running hitting your heel first

  • Not a hate comment at all, since I am thinking about giving the KSO model a try myself, but the very first thought I had while watching this was: "They run funny... they look like the penguins from happy feet"

  • Hi to Sonya O Sullivan @ 1.20.... :)

  • @maxocfitness hmm I know im a bit late (1yr) :) but does your offer still stand?

  • Sembra che corrano sulle uova.

  • looks like a lot of fun! love north face and love vibram.
