If you believe that indian scriptures were distorted by brahmins, then check out the chinese, persian or greek sources. They all hold testimony to the fact that Buddhism originated in India. Buddhism is indigenous to india. Buddhism is an inalienable part of indian culture. You are completely ignorent of the contribution of brahmins to buddhism. Many of Gauthama Buddha teachers were Brahmins. His most notable successors were brahmins(Vasubandu, sariputra and mahakashyapa)..

@MrPragalv And it's quite sad that the buddha aka 'gautam'(vedic hindu name) learned most of his techniques of meditation, philosophy and self control from indian brahmins at that time. So was buddha an even greater fool for learning from them ?
