G20 Alternative Summit

The G-20 Alternative Summit was held at the University of East London, less than 1 km away from the Excel Centre where the G20 Summit was taking place.

The Alternative Summit had the support of Britain's University and College Lecturers' Union and was intended as a platform for academics, authors, journalists, scientists, artists and activists to offer their vision of society and the way forward.

The management of the UEL tried to prevent the Summit which ended up taking place outside.

Thanks for the comments :). I did the exact opposite as you, I spent all my battery at Bishopsgate, then I had to go back home to recharge :(. Unfortunately by the time I got to the alternative summit it was late, this is all the footage I have. I don't even now the name of the guy, send the organisers an email to ask them the guy's name but no reply yet.

I was there but left early when Tony Benn started talking a load of reformist shit. Wish I'd stayed longer though, it looks like it was just getting dark about an hour and a half after I left. Oh well.......
