"Two titans of the religious spectrum famed Atheist Christopher Hitchens and esteemed Catholic apologetic Dinesh D'Souza clash in public debate at the University of Notre Dame.

I miss Hitchens ( ._.)

I find D'Souza is having a cognitive dissonance. He is advocating believers to abandon Theistic assumptions when arguing with non-believers to avoid being challenged, and to appeal to Deism. How can he reconcile his Deistic arguments with Theistic beliefs?

Awesome debate, good job on both sides.

D'Souza is completely ridiculous. Typical theist responses. He says that because science can't explain our origin or existence that we should just install god to explain everything. And whats more pathetic is that he uses insulting jokes and jibes to hit Hitchens with and they fall flat because Hitchens just kicks his ass with logic and reason. We miss you Christopher. If only you were still with us. You are a great loss.

What an excellent debate! Hitchens was witty, charming and pencil sharp in his rebuttals. D'Souza also had a good performance, but I find that in arguing for a designer, he does not get me to a point where I think Christianity is a good idea. In the end, how can close-mindedness and an appeal to revelation be the way to move forward? As my conservative Christian brother in law says, "if you keep an open mind, your brains might fall out". That shows the extreme flaw in their thinking.
