use blast turns for better cornering to pass faster the corners and you dont loose much speed like using side attacks

You are completly right! For Example, super metroid or metroid fusion/zero mission's music is a lot better than prime's. And the same thing happens with a lot more series. But F-Zero music has always been good.

And about the guy in the background I think he is Mr. Zero, the announcer from the comic in the SNES F-zero. YOU GOT BOOST POWER! should be an internet meme!
