@supertramp71 Oh man they are great! This guy is lucky he gets it for free, because at the store they are very expensive.

How long is the season? I want to go!

@supertramp71 They are great, very close to Abalone or Calamari. I have Panko fired them, tenderized and sauteed in butter & garlic, and finally made clam linguine. All these dishes were great, since I am a prepper I have been stocking each limit in the freezer so I have some throughout the winter.

@StayWildOutdoors Oh good--I'll look forward to that. BTW--that sure is an amazing area you live in! The beaches down here in SoCal aren't nearly as lovely--or clean.

you use a shovel? must be hard with that wide scoop iuse a normal clam shovel the skinny kind

@gnomehater63 It is actually quite easy, I wouldn't mind one of those skinny razor shovels though. I think next season I will pony up the cash for one....or I could go total forage bushcraft style and just use my hand! I saw a few people out one day doing that and they were filling their bucket...

So how do you determine where to dig? Will there be a follow-up on cooking them?

@Urbanwild1 You walk along and stomp the ground, the clams get scared and dig deeper leaving a hole or divit. That is where you dig. I will follow up with a better instructional video, cleaning, and cooking. Next week is a series of low tides.
