Amra Bangalee's Anti-Gorkhaland protest at Jantar Mantar sends gorkhas scurrying-Part1

21 December: Amra Bengalee and Jancetna Mancha supports of Delhi held a vehement protest against the illegal & unconstitutional Gorkhaland Demand of the Nepali Gorkhas.The day long dharna was held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 20th December against the Gokhaland demand and the tripartite talks taking place among the central govt of India, West Bengal state govt and the Gorkhas for considering the same.

@hobgoblin1216 Get this straight > Gorkhas became indians way back in 1850s because 1/3rd of nepal's territory as per sugauli treaty was not restorted back to nepal , one cannot annex huge part of territorial land and call its people as foreigners this is mockery of democracy,calling oneself world largest democracy and maintaining double standard. but even beyond that you go one sud read history of sikkim and sud speak such nonsense but gorkhas at any case never has its history with Bengal

@hobgoblin1216 : Darj and sikkim were one province before it was annexed to Bengal, N am not a nepali but i know the history of Sikkim very well. The ancient history of sikkim gives a clear picture of the presence of Limus and Magars along with bhutia and Lepchas.

@LamaTenzin1 Get this straight, Nepalese are not Indians. All Nepalese are living in India as per 1950 Indo Nepal friendship treaty which clearly mentions that only those Nepalese who have been living in India prior to 1945 are Indian citizens the rest all are citizens of Nepal. By this yardstick 90% of Nepalese in India or Darjeeling are not citizens of India but citizens of Nepal. Gorkhas or Nepalese are foreigners. Gorkhaland is Nepal, there will never be any Gorkhaland in India.

How far its correct to call Gorkhas as foreigners,the issue of foreign did not came even during GNLF agitation and Indiraji was giving UT to hills, but was settled to hill council.So how can foreigners be getting GTA now.Bengal should know that history of Darjeeling is with Sikkim and not with Bengal n Bhutia, lepcha, limbus, magars are the origin of this place n today it is a part of India so how can they be forigns Gorkhas are our frontiers we sud have a vision to know our friends and enemies
