Here's a little present from the Easter Bunny! Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

Now THAT was the best night of my life by far. Everyday I still think about what happened that night and wish that it never really did end, and that I was still lying in Zach's arms. Any time in my life when I needed to find a happy place that is what I thought about. But, of course, good things never last, do they? Which is probably why my good streak had to run out sooner or later.
About a week later, I was back at the concert venue to see Zach and the guys battle it out against my brother and his band. Zach had gotten the others to agree to let me ride along with them to the show, so I was there hours early. I had to hide myself from my brother by staying in Allstar's dressing room until people started arriving, so I was alone for awhile. Eventually, though, the guys came back from setting up and sound checking.
"Lonely?" Zach asked me when he walked into the room.
"A little," I replied. He sat down on the floor next to me and the seat I was sitting in and hugged my legs.
"I think they're going to start letting people in soon, but you might wanna stay in here until your brother is done onstage," Zach suggested.
"Are you gonna be in here that long?" I questioned him.
"It's a rule that we have to be out there while the other band is performing, it's a courtesy thing," he explained.
"Can't I be out there with you?" I pleaded.
"It's safer if you're in here," he cautioned me.
"Please," I begged. I added a puppy dog face to really sell it.
"Okay, but it's at your own risk," he reminded me.
"I'll be careful," I promised.
"Good, I don't think security will be happy if this turns into an ACTUAL battle of the bands tonight," he joked.
"That would be so awesome!" Cameron exclaimed from across the room. "We could like hit each other with our guitars and stuff! It would be so epic!" he added.
"I'm not sure if I should be mad that you were listening into our conversation or embarrassed that I'm in a band with you," Zach said, astonished by his friends... well, his Cameronness.
A guy in all black walked in with a clipboard. "Time for you guys to get out there," he informed them and then left.
Zach hopped to his feet instantaneously before turning and helping me up. "You sure you're coming?" he asked.
"Yes," I confirmed.
Of all my mistakes, I'm sure that was the biggest I had ever made. If I had just listened to Zach and stayed in the room, things would be different right now. But they aren't, and I'm stuck with that forever now.
So, besides Zach's better judgment, I went with Allstar to watch my brother perform with his band. We stood in the middle of the crowed, partially hidden by others, just in case. Public Breakup put on a pretty good show, but I knew Allstar would be even better. When PB (that's my brother's nickname for Public Breakup) finished, they got a loud round of applause. Even Allstar clapped, though I'm not sure if it was just for show or because they actually thought they did good; I never found out. As PB waved to the crowed, Zach gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and then headed to the stage on the opposite side of the room from PB.
Just as they walked onto the stage, the spotlights turned on and hit them. They got their instruments ready and stood in front of the crowed, which had turned around to face them. I saw PB standing on their stage still, watching Allstar in the back.
"Hey everybody!" Zach yelled to the audience, and they all screamed in response. "Everyone give it up for Public Breakup one more time!" he said, pointing to the band, which still had their spotlights on too.
They all waved to the crowed again, and then my brother grabbed a mic and responded, "Thanks Zach, break a leg!"
"Thanks man," he thanked him. Then the people all turned back to Allstar, and when they did I saw my brother flip Zach off. Zach just nodded in return, not bringing it to the crowd's attention.
"Clap your hands!" Nathan shouted to everyone, and they all started clapping as they began to play the first song.
I danced and sang along with the song, it was one of my favorites for sure. In the middle of my enjoyment, I heard someone say something in my ear. My body froze in place, my eyes widened, and my breath caught in my throat.
