Murray Gold: Four Knocks (from Doctor Who - arrangement for 2 pianos)

An arrangement for two pianos of the heart breaking "Four Knocks" from "The End of Time, Part 2" - as composed by Murray Gold and orchestrated by Ben Foster. This piece really lends itself to a single piano, but without a second one for embellishments, some of the mood is lost. Might be workable for three hands, but haven't had the time to look into that.

Oh, and don't even *think* about starting an "I miss David, the new guy sucks" fest in the comments. Or I'll... do something unpleasant. :-P

The actual theme in its full orchestral glory, as performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, is available on the Series 4 Specials soundtrack, released by Silva Screen Records on CD and for digital download:

I'll just reiterate and clarify what I said in the description (and which you summed up), because people rarely bother to read the descriptions on videos (their loss). So...

(Just kidding, however if the internet was a widespread thing in the 60's that would be what everyone would be saying... people are always going to be sad when "their" Doctor leaves... but that is how the show has stayed alive.)

I love the simplicity of this piece, it is sad and peaceful...
