This is just a video of the main theme song. Gotta love that drum beat.
This is the newest game to my collection. I have to admit I bought it because the box artwork was cool. Mechs with guns FTW. Good game or bad, it didn't matter to me because I bought it for so cheap that I win either way.
Outroyd was released for the MSX in 1985 by MagicalZoo. It's a RPG where the plan is to explore, raid enemy bases, and gather items/powerups. Very typical of any RPG but one big difference is you don't gain experience by killing enemies. Your stats increase after equiping upgradable parts for your robot which you'll find throughout enemy bases. So basically you roam around looking for an enemy base, after destroying its guardian you raid the base for booty. Very simple, right?...not quite. One of the difficult obstacles I have with this game is identifying what can hurt you and i mean watch where you're standing. Sometimes I walked over an area what I thought was a harmless metal floors but actually they're energy drainers. Squares with tiny pyramids will give you electric shocks that will send you to the scap yard in seconds if you're not paying attention. It puzzled me alot how fast I was dying. The manual includes an easy to understand legend for those area/square symbols. It tells you which symbols are can injure you or support you. It really helps to have it on hand.
Why the start button didn't pushed before?
Why wait for almost 4 minutes to start the movie?
But, I love MSX.
Thank you for your video, it's amazing!

Thanks for posting this.
It was a good game but I agree with everything you write in your comment. Energy was quite often very fast.
