  • Eh, this leaves too much unaccounted for. For example, Haitians tend to have low IQ's, and their neighbors in Fidel Castro's Cuba enjoy much better living standards than Haitians despite the communist setup on that island.

  • @jdamn fwancisco danconia don't have a wisp

  • down with cowuption! down with howific sociawists! did anyone say biggus dickus?

  • down with cowuption, down with iwan!

  • The earthquake in Haiti struck the primate city of Port-Au-Prince dead center. The earthquake near Chile was off-shore hundreds of miles away from population centers (why not ask why more people weren't affected in Florida by the Haiti quake)?

And Friedman went to Chile to award Pinochet with the "gold" seal of US approval! Were happy so long as the bankers are rich and the labor is cheap!

  • Actually the one he's talking about was an 8.8 of the coast of the Maule Region, and the death toll was only 350, not 800. Both cities had around the same population also. So I think this is what makes his point stronger. But don't correct someone with the wrong facts thanks.

  • @stephleom Touché!

  • @spudmustang I dont care what Friedman says he is himself, the Republicans say they support capitalism even though they clearly don't etc. Friedman supported a wellfare state and central banking for example. So ok he is no socialist, but he's clearly a conservative/social-democrat.

  • The more I hear about Chile, the more I like it. Check out Jose Pinera, the guy who came up with their private pension system watch?v=8IOVKtMiuas

  • @stephleom LOL! If Milton Friedman is a socialist, then Mickey Mouse is a duck.
