I still don't understand how this illusion of a single, unified mind is produced out of neurons that are essentially isolated from one another. They are individual entities which despite their communication system, they never actually get physically attached to each other to form a single unified entity, and yet we still manage to experience that feeling of having a single mind. So does this mean that if billions of people communicate with each other in an ordered fashion, they unite as a whole?
