Too Good To Be True (JB love story) Ch. 33

Maddy couldn't sleep.
She was lying in her bed with her eyes wide open.
Eventually, careful not to wake anybody, Maddy crawled out of her bed. She quickly, but quietly changed into some short jeans with a t-shirt, slipped on her flip-flops, and sneaked out of the cottage, carefully closing the door behind her.
She half-ran over to the shore, her shoes flipping and flopping to her every step.
When she reached the shore, she lied down on the sand and gazed up at the sky full of stars.
A few minuets staying in that position, she sat up.
She'd suddenly came up with a song.
The lyrics and music just came flowing into her mind.
So she sang.

As Nick opened his cottage door, he heard the sound of flip-flops running, and followed to see who it was.
Maddy.
She went down to the shore, and lay down on the sand.
She was looking at the stars.
Nick liked to look at the stars.
Looking down at Maddy from a few feet away, soon she suddenly sat up.
Then he heard singing.
To hear the lyrics more clearly, Nick slowly inched closer to Maddy.
Soon he could hear what she was singing.

You break my heart all over again

Hearing the lyrics, Nick had lost his balance and fell right on his butt.
Maddy noticed this, and turned around.
"Nick?" She asked, squinting.
"Hi," Nick said, laughing as he got up and walked over to where Maddy was sitting. "That... That was a nice song."
"Thanks," Maddy blushed. "I think you know who it was for."
"I think I do." Nick answered, remembering what his brothers had said.
...Just forgive her already
...You like her, right?
"Could..." Nick started, thinking if it was a stupid thing to ask. "Could you sing that again?"
Maddy nodded biting her bottom lip. "It's not that good, though."
She sang, gazing right into Nick's eyes.
She tried really hard not to burst into tears.
Just as she sang the last few words, Nick raised his hands.
Maddy's heart pounded, wondering what he was going to do.
He cupped Maddy's face as he leaned in...
Maddy's head went blank.
What was happening?
She couldn't think of anything else except that one question, and soon, that went flying out of her mind as well.
...Because he'd kissed her.
