One of my favourite songs.
Before now, I had only heard the English version (translated by JCC). It is so beautiful in the original language, and what an enchanting voice Hagegård possesses.

Enchanting is the word, both voice and song. I've not heard the English version you mention but I usually prefer the original language. Thanks for commenting.

Lovely - just a little of Fischer-Dieskau in the quieter phrases, perhaps?

Well, maybe, just a little. I do seem to have a preference for the lyric baritone voice.
