Autistic hug

My son doesn't' like to be touched unless he initiates it. I have gotten these wonderful hugs more often as he grows! There have been so many times he wanted to be touched and couldn't stand the sensation. I think it takes another Mom going through this to really understand. It has gotten better and better. Even after the film stopped I stil was getting hugged. I wait until he is the one to pull away.

Asperger's syndrome is a high functioning form of autism. Jordan is on the severe side of autism. He is now eight years old and can not talk. He does not like to be touched and that is why this video is so special to me. He was actually wanting to be touched! It's very rare for him.

@devildog70 It's a rare thing to get this kind of contact from my son. But when he does let me hug I let him be the one that ends the hug. Your son and mine will have a meaningful and good life. Maybe not functional like all the others but functional in a way that suits them. I do hate that my home and things get destroyed. But my child is more important then any thing. I'm still learning.
