Part 5 of 5 INFO:
Going north on Hwy 58 from Naha area.
Building with DC-3 aircraft on roof at 4 min 30 sec (I recall hearing it was converted into a restaurant).
Back up the hill to MCAS Futenma main gate guardhouse, "STOP AND THINK ABOUT THAT DRINK" lol again.
Ending with a short trip down a brand new road (just dirt before) past the CS gas chamber, and on to the MATCS-18 unit (which is no longer in that location according to Google Earth) with Radar/Comm/Navaids equipment, shelters and squadron buildings. (NOTE: The chain link fenced areas to the left on the way to the MATCS-18 unit are Japanese WW2 cave locations and unsafe to enter because of their age)
***NOTE: NO AUDIO***
Sorry, but "copyrighted music" was playing during the drive. I thought it was better to share the video with no sound, than take a chance of the whole thing getting removed.
If you would like to play your own car driving tunes to accompany this vid ,go ahead, but for real authenticity nothing that came after July 1986!
Awesome video. I got to see my church next to A&W, and the expressway under construction....and who can forget Johnny's Used Cars and that monkey sign. Thanks for stirring up old memories.
