LB W Founded in the 1970s by Dr. Arnita Young Boswell, an accomplished social worker, educator and activist. She was the Professor of social work at the University of Chicago from 1961 to 1980 and was the Director of social services for children with special needs. Boswell was also the First national director for project Head Start and Director of the women's division of Chicago Civil rights march led by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1966.
