"Sickle cell anemia is a genetic disease that affects hemoglobin, the oxygen transport molecule in the blood. The disease gets its name from the shape of the red blood cells under low oxygen conditions. Some red blood cells become sickle-shaped and these elongated cells get stuck in small blood vessels so that parts of the body don't get the oxygen they need. Sickle cell anemia is caused by a single letter change in the DNA. This in turn alters one of the amino acids in the hemoglobin protein. Valine sits in a position where glutamic acid should be. The valine makes the hemoglobin molecules stick together when oxygen tension is low, forming long fibers that distort the shape of the red blood cells, and this brings on an attack."

  • @ZeroDisease Some people are reporting that it has gotten rid of the 'digger' fungus under their toe nails and finger nails - and in order to do that, you have to clean up the blood! Seems like a real possibility, since the NRF2 regulates so many genes - and it's a genetic issue. Protandim is so new, I doubt anyone has even used it for sickle cell, but I'd like to hear back from anyone with sickle cell who has used Protandim for a year.

  • Genetic issue - I wonder if Protandim will help - it's activates NRF2 - a master regulator of up to 4,000+ of the 25,000 human genes. I encourage you to watch the videos of Dr McCord and the new studies showing what it has done for cardiovascular health, production of SOD to eradicate free radicals in the blood within 30 days, and many other issues. Montel Williams has no more symptoms of MS thanks to Protandim! Watch Dr McCord at 0toZ.com (that's the number, not a letter o - just to be sure)

  • Sickle cell affects those on the equator, not just Africa. I have the trait from my dad's side of the family and his side is Puerto Rican. It happened to combat Malaria, the blood cells will not allow Malaria to stick to them. It is not just in people with darker skin.

  • @dewege39 The Children of Israel are black? how'd you know God gave it to them as Sickness?

  • @Englanistan No this is a sickness god gave the childen of israel wich are the blks.

  • @ramboanime : From the “World Without Cancer” website: Vitamin B17 and Sickle Cell Anemia : The successful use of cyanates in the control of sickle cell crisis has been indicated clinically and experimentally. Thiocyanate, an intermediate product of the metabolism of Vitamin B-17 is thought to be the active component. The recommended daily supplementation of Vitamin B-17 is 50 to 100 mg for small children and 250 to 500 mg per day for the adult sickler.

  • @ajwills27 Because they are superior genetically.
