As a girl, I totally agree that boys are being victimized in this too. I mean, if a hot girl throws themselves at you its unfair to expect a teenage boy to be mature enough to say no, i dont want to hurt you emotionally.

Forget sexualizing girls for a second and ask why females are always portrayed as victims. These girls are admitting to engaging sexual activities willingly, but are still somehow victims. What never gets mentioned is how much power women wield through sex (even teenage girls, you know you remember) an how often THEY victimize males and each other with that power. But the conversation only takes place in the context of female victimhood. Same old double standard for the "weaker sex".

I can understand putting seventeen on there but teen vogue is one of the few teen magazines who barely talks about sex and is often objective about promiscuity. Just because a girl is promiscuous doesn't mean that she craves attention from any source that she can get it from because she is some pathetic soul. Has the thought that a girl can be young and in charge of her sexuality ever crossed their minds? Did they forget that many of these girls hook up with guys and are discreet about it?
