An NAC DC6B takes off from Anchorage on 29th September 2005. Watch to the end, as the aircraft is a long way off at first, but then comes right up and sweeps past me, rocking his wings at our watching group of enthusiasts.

You said it !!! no aircraft makes a better sound as dc-4, dc-6, dc-7, super conny, etc...

  • Fortunately, the lovely sound of those big radials was able to drown out the whiney jets... :)

  • THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUND OF THIS WORLD....

  • 0:39 he appears to tip his wing at you in acknowledgement.
