jetBlue made a brilliant PR move on this one! With all the talk of traffic nightmares in the Los Angeles area due to the closure of the 405 Freeway, they offered $4 (Standard) or $5 (Even More Legroom) each way on flights between Burbank and Long Beach. Flight 405 and 406 happened earlier in the day, I caught the later flights 1405 and 1406. You get good aerial views of the Santa Monica Pier, 405 Freeway, LAX, Marina Del Rey, Port of Long Beach and several other great views capped off with two great landings! Thanks again jetBlue for my $9 sightseeing flight.

  • WTF i didn't even notice the landing!! lmao

  • @wajxxx & @piperseminole100, so true! They were a couple of the greatest landings that I've ever felt (or didn't).

  • what was this filmed on?

  • @PCtechtips101, Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1. it's a really reliable low cost little camera.

  • That was classic "we're going to be over Marina in 30 seconds." This looks like it was a blast. Looks like they even had a refreshment cart in the boarding lounge for you. Nice coverage and camera angles on this monumental flight.

  • @LoveJT8D, oh yeah, it was a blast!

jetBlue did everything right, they got their name out there on news programs all over the country, supplied great customer service, gave away cookies with the 405 Fwy logo, drinks, jetBlue bags, chips and they also gained a new loyal group of fans. This pilot talked more on this quick "sightseeing trip" than most do on an International flight, he spotted out things both ways almost non-stop, it was amazing!

I appreciate the kind words man, thanks!

  • @ACTORDAVIDTRAN, flight 1405 was correct (second flight of the day). I can't link it directly but if you go to FlightAware, search for JBU1405 to see the flight path.

  • I wonder if it would have still been faster to drive from Burbank to LA during that time... since so many people heeded the warnings not to drive the freeways that actually were open were not that crowded. Anyways, $4.05 for a flight like this is some bargain, the cheapest flight I ever took was a $20 sight-seeing fly-by of my college in a single-engine prop at 2000 ft.

  • Why is there always a fucking baby in background lol

  • I sure do like airbus!

  • @hammoudy1300 make that 9000FT at a speed of 360kts

  • i don't think that this flight exceeded an altitude of FL250

  • man you gotta love that joystick it makes things so smooth:D

  • I work ramp for B6 at JFK. I would of loved to of worked these flights. There couldn't of been that many check bags.
