@raptorkiller2k5 Cancer is a disease. Ebola is a disease, both of which might be considered pandemic.
Pandemic: 1. (of a disease) prevalent throughout an entire country, continent, or the whole world.
Disease:1. a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ, part, structure, or system of the body resulting from the effect of genetic or developmental errors, infection, poisons, nutritional deficiency or imbalance, toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors
Therefore, not a disease or pandemic

@bigc028282. The science of carbon and wha? The most freeest forms of energy would be solar, wind, heck nuclear energy. We're better off hydrogen-based power and keep in mind that the vast majority of C02 emissions is produced in cars during rush hour traffic. This massive mis-allocation of resources is something many elements within the political sphere would support. I haven't heard the scientific press (i.e. Nature, not Fox News) knock him meaning that he's making money in a legit manner.

@Rahavin1. It's no longer just socialism (i.e. capitalist vehicles encouraging hyper consumption), nor religion (gluttony, whether explicit or implicit, IS a sin in ALL Abrahmic religions), but also affecting big businesses. Fat people are becoming too expensive to keep alive. Premiums will be scaled up astronomically in order to take into account the rising obesity trend and its going to hit government or private-run healthcare systems.
Well, its gonna fuck up Americans a lot more.

@Rahavin1. In addition, obesity costs a hell lot more health-wise as well. Not just the fat dolt's health, but the strains on the healthcare system period. Virtually every health care professional, including those associated with healthcare insurance giants, are pointing out that obesity is not just costly but hurting their business. We're going to see reduced medical intervention as the obesity epidemic intensives and fat people will just be left to die.

@Rahavin1. Obesity is an PANdemic, because it is associated with significantly reduced standard of living. Even if it didn't exaggerate C02 emissions, which it obviously does. I mean shit, if our energy per capita cap was set at the level of an obese person, thin, heck even overweight people would be swimming in fossil fuels, water and other resources. Besides, you have health officials in oil-loving Gulf states regularly pointing out that obesity IS an epidemic.
Jeez, Arabs aren't this stupid.

@sgthunter09. However, the volcanoes output is taken into account due to natural carbon reservoirs. In other words, Earth has been balancing out C02 levels rather effectively despite volcanic reactions. I mean, sure C02 levels were much higher in the past, but I don't remember simple organisms (never mind humans) remaining very fit when C02 levels (and in consequence, sea levels) were drastically changing. We see this with natural disasters. Those in the Pak and NO floods seem quite fit...

@gwhitetx. They're not that numerous, though. The obesity epidemic affects a much larger population and the lifestyle requires higher energy requirement. We're not just dealing with the individual, but the environmental requirements needed to support the individual. I mean, this is the case even with adults and kids, the former produces a lot more CO2 emissions in/directly than the latter.
PS: Those who exercise typically use a lot less calories than the obese counterpart.

fat people take up more space;therefore, they are depleting the oxygen supply.

Obesity is not an epidemic! H1N1 is, as are other viruses. I dont think that obesity is a virus, but Im not a scientist, so I dont really have the credentials to vouch for that in certainty.
This is a good example of stupidity: "That sounds like it might be scientifically reasonable. I mean, just listening to that fact and thinking about those terms, yes, that would seem to make sense." LOL who the fuck is that woman and why did they choose to quote her? What a dummy...

Might as well be!
what about affluent people, they use more resources to heat/cool their multiple homes, private jets, big gas guzzling cars, large wardrobes, etc...etc

A volcano makes more carbon dioxide than all humans, animals, cars, coal factories etc combined together
