I recall the Hitler Channel's special on the SR-71, in 1973 they did an overflight of Israel and the Sinai during the Yom Kippur War without clearing it with the Israelis. They barely escaped being "hawked". I can't imagine B-52's routinely overflying Israel without permission. In fact, there is no good reason for them to have ever done so. In it's day, SAC bombers were kept in the air 27/7 over U.S. territory.
