When my fancy dual-flush loo started to leak, I set out to fix it, only to stumble on what looks like a conspiracy against the great british toilet, and an environmental disaster in the making
valves are okay, they're everywhere in jordan.. if it leaks, you have to fix it immediately not because you want to save nature, but because you dont want to pay money.. and no, it usually wont cost you £40 to fix it, usually an easily replaceable rubber (not sure of the proper name) at the end can be purchased for, hmm £2-3 i guess, i was much cheaper in jordan. then you can FIY (fix it yourself). and the savings of the half load overweighs the leakage factor. Thats my personal opinion.
I live in the US and all we have are lever-based flush toilets and I don't recall an instance of a leaking toilet. The dual-flush isn't very popular yet, so I haven't seen many of those. You do have a choice of brands in the UK right? If not, you see the problem with socializing things. I mean, it's been a while since we've been known for ingenuity.
better than nothing but still....the solutions is compost toilet systems.
Make a change not something that disguise like it. :)
