Terence Kemp McKenna was a writer, philosopher, psychonaut and ethnobotanist. He was noted for his many speculations on the use of psychedelic, plant-based entheogens, and subjects ranging from shamanism, the development of human consciousness, and novelty theory.

Dr. Richard Alpert, also known as Baba Ram Dass, is a contemporary spiritual teacher. He is well known for his association with Timothy Leary at Harvard University in the early 1960s, both having been dismissed from their professorships for experiments on the effects of psychedelic drugs on human subjects. He is also known for his travels to India and his association with the Hindu guru Neem Karoli Baba.

  • @magicalray93

I ask myself that a lot lol, just trying to be my own Mckenna now as egotistical as that sounds

  • @seveneverything It is very beautiful thinking.

  • why why why is Mckenna not here, i'm obsessed with him hes got such a unique personality and worldview.

  • These guys didn't mention the many many dimensions of awareness. I would love to meet them and share! I have had great experiences and plan to have more!

  • Ram Dass says that psychedelics "may have already done what they are to do" and "what is done is so much more powerful than anybody yet recognizes". Where are we in 2012? Is there enough momentum? I certainly feel this shift in myself but can understand both Terrance and Ram Dass on their thoughts about coming to realization of consciousness via psychedelics.

  • lol that waiter

  • 5:30 makes me lol. these times are so weird ...

  • @seveneverything People seem to jump to conclusions these days based on their egos... Ram Dass steps back and silently observes his thoughts from the perspective of his soul... At least that's how I see it.
