  • “I wish very much that the wrong people could be prevented entirely from breeding; and when the evil nature of these people is sufficiently flagrant, this should be done. Criminals should be sterilized and feebleminded persons forbidden to leave offspring behind them… The emphasis should be laid on getting desirable people to breed…”

Roosevelt, “Twisted Eugenics,” in "The Works of Theodore Roosevelt," op. cit., National Edition, XII, p. 201.

  • @procommenter That statement above if true, by T R, might explain why over 400 000 Filipino people were massacred in the Spanish American war - ( genocide ) and why one of my favorite presidents , Howard Taft lost the election in 1913, because Theodore Roosevelt ran as a third party candidate, some hero.

President Taft and some members of Congress were horrified to learn the scope of killing in the Philippines, some wanted the Philippines, to be part of the U.S. - " our brown brothers"

  • @procommenter Wikipedia said this about President Taft: " One of Taft's main goals while President was to further the idea of world peace. Given his judicial sensibilities, he believed that international arbitration was the best means to effect the end of war on Earth. ... Taft ...was known as one of the foremost advocates of world peace and arbitration " from Wikipedia. I wonder if President Taft was re elected , if he could have prevented World War 1 ? Most leaaders are criminals, not Taft

  • Yale University's big 3 secret fraternities: Skull & Bones, Scroll & Key, Wolf's Head Society

  • @dizzo95: Bill Taft was a member of Yale University's Skull & Bones Fraternity.

  • Fr. World Future Fund: The Death Toll in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War of 1898: The overall cost in human lives of American actions in the Philippines was horrific. One scholar has concluded concerning the American occupation that "In the fifteen years that followed the defeat of the Spanish in Manila Bay in 1898, more Filipinos were killed by U.S. forces than by the Spanish in 300 years of colonization. Over 1.5 million died out of a total population of 6 million."
