  • Thanks my friend! Joe was the greatest...

  • Fantastic! I really enjoyed this piece, and I'm going to check out the rest of your stuff. I'm a Weather Report/Zawinul/Wayne Shorter fan, have listened to Mintzer on many recordings, and have a few of Brian Hughes albums. Last time I heard something that grabbed me as this one has was listening to a piece by bassist Larry Steen. I'm about to add your CD(s) to my collection!

  • Grazie! Can't thank you enough for the kind words in your comment. Brian, Tom and Bob were just great on this track. It's one of my favorites that I've had the chance to record. It also amazes my how Joe's spirit just keeps on going with so many videos celebrating his music and life. He signed a cover of Jazzwise he was on for me in Austria when I was there in 05. Hangin out with him in his home country was as good as it gets! Thanks again...

  • Nice version, really beautiful interpretation of the song. great production, the bass sounds excellent. I was born in 1974 and as my father has many albums by weather report, I was lucky enough to hear the music as a child. I didn't really check it again til I was a teenager, but it was like coming home.

  • Thanks so much! I was so fortunate to have such great friends and musicians on the entire CD. I last saw Joe and the Syndicate at the Catalina Bar and Grill in Hollywood in 06. Before that over in Europe. He never sounded better. All the best. Ciao!

  • @mkshark55 why? he's considered one of the best

  • Probably the greatest composer in the last 50 years when you look at his body of work.

  • Quest'uomo ha realizzato ciò che ho sempre sognato.

This man has done what we've always dreamed of.

  • Very nice interpretation while still capturing the harmonies and groove that make the tune so elegant.

  • I'm a huge joe fan and really like what you've done , thanks.

  • Beautiful. A great tribute to Joe, and also I hope younger people look up Cannonball, WR, Zawinul Syndicate etc. on the back of this. Joe was great, such a great musician.
