I had some excessive noise being generated from my diff and spider gears after a crown wheel and pinion change (4.875 - 4.3). I found each of the 4 old shims to be approximately .001" - .002" thinner than than their replacements. This is the3 video of how to reinstall the spider gears into the cage.
