Total UK/bass destroyer - sort of like Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, Soundhack, Martyn and Untold hardwired into the same studio making steppy technofied reduced funk variants* Daphne number four finds Millie and Andrea hooked up again for another squashed and deadly assault on the floor. A-side cut 'Spectral Source' has been primed and perfected for those of you out there who have over the years grown an unhealthy obsession with the work of Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, taking a toughened edit and adapting it into a kind of rolling bass flex augmented by compressed snares and those moonlit chords that are barely there yet derive maximum impact. It was only a matter of time before the variant of minimised steppy funk Shake has perfected over the last 15 years would permeate UK Bass music - and the result is totally devastating. Over on the flipside things turn decidedly more tropical, with a modified breakbeat and soulful vocal slowly mutating into a hybrid of Bassline and garage, demented by another colossal low-end channel that's barely contained.
