Here at home, the flower industry is already feeling the heat of the crisis in Europe. The Kenya Flower Council says its members are losing up to 7 million shillings a day since the flights stopped. Over 500 tonnes of flowers are currently in cool storage at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport, but growers fear the situation cannot be sustained for long.
