Chapter 7
The Choice.
Part 2

I woke up that day at around 4:00 a.m., with no hesitation. I was thinking about my dream that night. Meeting the Jonas Brothers, me being their sister and deciding wether to move to Hollywood or not. Gosh, what a weird dream.
I grabbed my phone off my night stand, and snatched a hoodie from my closet. I tied my hair in a messy bun, using a ponytail that was already on my wrist.
I climbed out the window, and unto the roof. I went to my usual spot, and sat down hugging my knees. I took out my cell from the pocket of my jacket, and read the unread messages from Mandy and Catt.

(From: Mandy Ramos, 10:04 p.m.)
Make d best choice Lee! Ders no rite or wrong. BTW, if u move, introduce me 2 Lorenzo Henrie. :) Love ya!

Make the right choice for what? Maybe my dream was sort of true...

(From: Catt Johnson, 01:38 a.m.)
OMJ, I cant sleep! How can I if I know dat Ive met Joe Jonas?! BTW, wat hapend after?! yd u hav 2 go home w/ dem early? SPILL!!!

Okay, definitely not a dream. Oh, God. I clicked on my phones Gallery and started listening to songs in shuffle. I put my arms behind my head, lied down, and stared into the sky, which was full of stars.
After one or two songs, a Jo Bro song came on. Hollywood. Great, just what I needed. I sighed, then realized something. Something big. It didnt hit me until this moment, but they were really my brothers. All four of them, and I really had to make a decision, fast. If I left, I would leave everyone, and everything Ive ever cared about. Even my last name. But if I went with them, not only would I have a better chance at making my dreams come true, but I would also have a better chance of knowing my brothers for who they were, and not just the famous rock-stars girls everywhere go crazy for.
Another hour or so passed by, and the sun started to rise. I heard a knock on my door below, and my moms voice.
"Wake up Linley!"
I grabbed my phone and shoved it into my pocket. I climbed into my window, and stopped in front of my mirror. I stared into my own gold eyes. My brothers all had dark eyes. Why the heck were mine gold? They were usually medium brown. I guess it was the sunlight's affect.
I smile grew onto my face. I had made my decision.
I went down stairs and into our kitchen. My mom smiled at me, looking up from the pancakes she was making.
"How'd you sleep honey?"
"Um, okay, I guess."
I opened the refrigerator door, and grabbed a bottle of orange juice. I pulled out a glass from the cupboard above me, and poured the juice in. I pulled up a seat to the kitchens island, and sat down. I sipped my juice, and I felt someone kiss my forehead. My dad came down, fixing his tie, and grabbing his coffee in a hurry.
"Bye Linley!"
"See you soon dad."
Story of his life. Coffee, Work, and Sleep. Mom placed a plate full of pancakes in front of me. I looked up and smiled at her.
"Thanks, mom."
"Any time honey."
She turned around, and then placed maple syrup in front of me. I poured the maple syrup over my plate, and took a bite from my pancake. My mom sat on the other side of the island, facing me.
"Yesterday was pretty tiring, huh? A lot of things to take in."
She was trying to ask me if I thought about it, but didn't want to get straight to the point.
"Mom, I love you."
I smiled, and took her by surprise. She laughed her soft laugh, and replied,
"I love you too baby."
"No matter what?"
"No exception."
"Even if I want to move to L.A. with my brothers?"
I smiled a wary smile, and she grinned. She placed my face into her hands, then kissed my forehead.
"No matter what you do, or where you are, I will always love you."
She placed my a lost strand of hair behind my ear, and smiled. A tear fell down her cheek. She wiped it away and laughed.
"Somehow, I saw this coming, and I knew the sadness would be unbearable. But at this moment, I actually feel," She gave out a soft laugh again, "happy. You made the right choice Linley. To follow your dreams. To get to know your real family."
I shook my head, and took hold of her hands. I squeezed them tight, and said,
"Mom, you'll always be my real family. Wether were blood or not. You'll always be my mom. One of them at least."
I giggled, and she kissed my cheek, and I let go of her hand.
"I'll miss you, mom."
"I will too."
"Mom, do you know what Skype is?"
"What what is?"
I giggled and shook my head.
"You'll see."
