stock engine with 82k miles and still running very well. Yes, Ferrari engines can last a long time if taken care of! Oil pressure sender is reading half at the moment (bad sending unit pending installation of new part) so pay no attention to that!

  • Not complaining about the sound...the 308 is one of my favorite cars of all time and ive been looking for one for a while...got cold feet on a 82 quattrovalvole....almost got rid of my daily driver to get it

  • Get a '76-'77 carb car. They have far more torque and greater bhp when tuned correctly. QV engines can only be tuned so much. Check out my dyno vid! That's the real sound rather than this muffled stuff you hear now.

  • holy shit...youre right, it sounds exactly like an RSX type S. Come to think of it...about the same horsepower and performance figures too.

  • Check out my dyno vid. The car sounds nothing like an RSX. At 2900lbs with 240bhp, it is substantially quicker and is good for an honest 155 mph and 14.3 1/4 mile (verified). Still, it's a classic car so I am not out trying to race anyone, or dump the clutch and power shift etc.

  • That guy cant drive

  • Let me know when you get a Ferrari so you can show me.

  • Sounds like a damn acura integra!

  • @lvferraripilot Ferrari or not, that was a pretty poor takeoff.

  • @lvferraripilot hottest of the hot

  • Beautiful car man! I can't wait to take my shot at getting one.. Once I graduate next year, this will be my present to myself!

  • @lvferraripilot I will second that! Ive got a gt4 1977 and sounds just like yours (same engine), ok carbs and points need fine tuning, but once done they are the best, nothing today sounds like this, or feels like it or even smells like it, every drive is an occasion, my trouble is that im piling on the mileage of mine, but I guess they are meant to be driven;-)))

  • One of the things that I like about the 70's and 80's is the way Ferrari and Porsche layed-out the clusters. And some of the Japanese machines too. I Just really enjoy it. The very first Ferrari I ever worked was a 308 GTB and 308 GT four. Great cars!

  • @willyloops exactly! a magical era it was, people forget how old these cars are, imagine the power against most cars in the 70s! the police could never catch a car like this back then, i have a 308 gt4 1977 and believe me, the power of it can lift the hairs on the back of you neck, they rev out past 7000, even at high speed the car sticks to the road without a twitch or shudder, for a 1977 car this is amazing, only bad thing about them is the brakes lol
