@MsMETALmayhem I've heard that that can be determined by the number of bolts on the casing, whether there are 6, or 8. But keep in mind that there are 53, 71, and 92 series Detroits. I'm sure they all use different size blowers. Hope this helped a little bit at least.

i just bought a blower at a garage sle for $25 its from a detroit motor and i dont know how to tell if its a 671 or 871 can somone help me out

i cant believe the amount of negative comments on this. its likely got bone stock or very lightly ported/bowl blended heads..very mild cam and low compression. perfect for a rat rod/street rod. 87 octane..and enough power to have a bunch of fun. who cares if you can do better with less or list what you think is better or whatever. make a video and prove it.

look up serious wheels.com and go look up a 427 cobra jet= 780hp and its a 427 not blown.........a 427 could smoke any chevy big block in a drag race with it modiffied and not blown

Ur all fuckin stupid. I have a 355 sbc and I am close to 1200 hp. A 8-71 blower flat top pistons and a good cam and heads. Eagle crank and two dominator 1050's and it's parked under the hood of my 1986 chevy custom deluxe. So none of u fuck heads have a clue to what your talking about. And I'm sorry it's a 400 sbc.

@mynuffinfutsitch Wow you know ALOT about engines allright,SO all I need to do to get 550hp from a SBC is 13-1 compression,race gas,a big ass cam and 1000cfm carb,WOW,NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT.I'll shut up now because I'm wrong about building engines.
