Baroque, Impressionism and Jazz fuse together in an unexpectedly natural way in this Dutch composer's work.

I futz the ending a little bit. I don't know how it is for other musicians making recordings, but I find myself, sometimes thinking things like "I've gotten through pretty good, but I could STILL screw it up", and almost perversely screwing up the simple things rather than the hard ones. D'oh!

A quick google search didn't turn up any CDs, but Wikipedia did mention that some of Gerard Hengeveld's concerts had been recorded, so it's possible. Alas! Classical music in general is not a big seller here in North America, and relatively unknown (compared with Beethoven, Bach, Chopin and the like) modern composers are probably even harder to find. :-(
