@itsmegp46 This is actual true automotive history you stated. I think in their haste to compete with Chrysler, they should have spent some more time on the Buick. Especially the front end. Pig nosed kid with braces. But I do like all of that chrome. Thanks again for your comments.

@55lincoln This was a (thankfully) one year only body style. When the GM designers saw Chrysler's new '57 cars behind fencing, they went back to their studios and tore up the '59 designs and started over.

@TheThumper49 4 ways to change the radio station??!! Good Grief! Almost sounds like a wiring problem, but if it worked, oh well. What an experience to own one of these chrome queens. I bet you wish you still had this 58 including 4 ways to change the radio station. Thanks for enjoying this pink beauty.

I bought one of these out of high school in '68. Weirdest thing about it was the four different ways to change the radio station. 1) switch on the floor next to dimmer switch. 2) the "wonder bar" over the buttons. just tap it and it would go to next station. 3) The "sonic eye" was an infrared beam that you waved your hand past and got the next station. 4) the selector buttons. Talk about redundancy. Great car except for the dynaflow trans. Too small for the cars weight.

@snowman4839 That grille does look agressive. Well, maybe a mouth full of braces. I love all cars but am fond of '69 Buicks, all models. SO, you've got a special car also. Thanks so much for viewing this chrome queen and commenting.

I love the 58 Special. The front looks like a mean animal showing it's teeth and the rear reminds you it's a comfortable cruiser. Nice looking car. I got a 69 Special Deluxe :-). They're worlds apart but both awesome
i saw one of these for sale for only 3000$ needs alot of work but if this is the outcome im willing to work.

@gravedigr12 Restoring a vintage car that needs a lot of work means a lot of commitment. And money. Its always good to see cars like this restored. It can be personally rewarding. Thanks for enjoying this Buick.

@Dogeg420 This Biuick was at a car show in St. Charles, Missouri. I don't know where they got it. It did have a for sale sign on the dash by the windshield but can't determine phone number. Sorry to hear about your dad. Perhaps this is the same Buick. Lets see some videos or pictures. Thanks.
