@pensivethought Trust me when I say that noone can show me an angel and expect me to fall for it. However, Ilike I said before all with the exception of the some foundamental values things have changed from the time each religion was started. I choose to opt out, because I always had a feeling that there were things that are fundamentally wrong with religion...liike the one that I was raised to believe in. Not enough to say it's completely bogus, but enough to question the change.

@pensivethought But it's what we can't see that is in question. Though I have grown not to take in so much garbage from religion, I feel that at the begining it wasn't about power over freedoms. I feel that the heads of religion did indeed changed it. And who is to say the the very notion of GOD or GODS wasn't also changed to fit their need to take control of the freedoms we are speaking of.

His bias is probably a result of growing up and being indoctrinated into his brand of statism and state religion. He's seen the world through the mist of words and symbols and cognitive dissonance. Awakening doesn't happen overnight, it's a life long process of learning and thinking and talking openly and frankly with friends about what we learn.
Sadly most people no longer think, they watch tell lie vision. They don't learn, they get programmed with what the state wants.
