  • wow, lot's of stuff all over! Must of been a bitch trying to move arround while working. check out my vid, the last clip is a basement I did. might give you some ideas! Nice work... don't give up!

  • Good grief, does anybody swing a hammer anymore?

  • I love the music :)

Seriously, you got a good video here. I always wanted to frame my basement.

  • Nice framing! I'm finishing my basement. It looks like you framed your walls right over the concrete. Did you insulate? If so, what method did you use? I've heard the best way to insulate basements is with foam board as it handles vapor better than fiberglass.

  • thanks for keeping the camera steady, dickhead.

  • Looks like a white stripes video.but good job!

  • I'm dizzy as hell! What happened?

  • @jjonesy1455 Places with expansive soils get extra drainage, more sand/ footings, and thicker concrete w/more glass strands in it. Floating the walls are nonsense, if your floor heaves, your fcked, who cares about drywall cracks when it heaves under a load point and moves the whole house. A subfloor will flex when walking over it creating a creak, no matter what you use to "float" the floor. Nobody plans a house around concrete moving unless they don't know how to do concrete.

  • @d1incharge Basement Walls are floated to avoid heaving basement floors in areas with expansive soils. If they are not floated, when the basement floor heaves, it will crack the drywall in hte basement and create problems in the floors above.

  • good video i enjoyd it
