LOL!!! Redd was the fucking man! You know, I'd love to see some more of those Dean Martin roast clips. I really wish I were alive in the 70's to see those hilarious roasts' live on T.V.... Matter of fact, I'm going to look 'em up on here, 'cause I know Redd was involved in quite a few of those roast back then (they eventually roasted him at one point in the mid-70's). Long live Reddy Freddy!!! :)

@BrooklynEagle I was there in the 70s and saw this very episode when it first appeared when I was about 13. Of course at the time, I didn't realize what a magical era it was, but I'm glad to have been too young for Jim crow and too old for drive-bys :)

@mitchcugnet9 I'm pretty certain it was Redd Foxx's _own_ roast, but I'll double check for you!

Redd was one of the best..... He could take a racial issue and make a comment on it such a funny way, the man had class like no other. One of Saint Louis' finest people. Sanford & son was one of my favorite shows growing up. He'd always say that he was gonna take Esther's face, push it into some dough & make "gorilla cookies" LMAO !!!
