It's a common story, budget cuts forcing state agencies to cut back.
For the Wisconsin State Patrol that means troopers are driving fewer
miles on the road.

  • @AstroTAC Useless agency? The State Patrol can be anywhere in the state and has full jurisdiction in the state. A County Sheriff Department does not. The State Patrol is the best at Motor Carrier Enforcement, Post Crashes, Recon and many other things.

Could the State of Wisconsin survive without the State Patrol? Probably, but the people of Wisconsin want the State Patrol because they just help make the roads safer. I'm sure glad we have them.

  • What a useless agency. Just get rid of them, and contract to the local sheriff's dept's .
